Candle Care

Hot Tips…things to remember when burning your Gold Canyon Candle

v      Trim wick to 1/4”.  When wicks are too long, the candle will create excess smoke, turning the jar black.  Burn candle for up to 4 hours.  If you burn for extended hours, extinguish, clip and re-light.

v      Discontinue burning when ½” wax remains on bottom of jar; excessive heat on glass will cause jar to shatter.  (Gold Canyon Candle has factored in the ½” when referring to burn time calculations.)

v      Using wick dippers to extinguish the flame by dipping the wick into the hot wax will reduce smoke when extinguishing and will make the wick easier to re-light for next use.  (Wick dippers are available through your demonstrator.)

v      Never burn a candle unattended.

v      Lighting all wicks and letting the candle burn long enough to liquefy the entire top surface will guarantee even burning throughout the jar.

v      Our special blend of wax remains cool when liquefied reducing the risk of accidental burns.
